Every foreigners who stay in Ukraine legally has right obtain residence permit.

Temporary residence permit:
The most popular grounds for temporary residence permit in Ukraine are:
- own or co-own company in Ukraine;
- work on the basis of contract (work permit);
- study in Ukraine;
- wife/husband or baby (up 18 years old) of foreigner who has temporary residence permit in Ukraine;
- foreigner who has wife or husband with Ukrainian citizenship;
- participation іn voluntary activity.

Basic documents for temporary residence permit:
- passport with visa "D" (no need visa for Georgians, Azerbaijanis, Belarus and others);
- insurance certificate within staying in Ukraine;
- receipt about paid government fees;
- notarial translation of foreigner's passport;
- original document under grounds of applying documents for temporary residence permit (work permit, marriage certificate, invitation from university and etc.).

Immigration permit and permanent residence permit in Ukraine:
Immigration permit:
In order to obtain permanent residence permit, required immigration permit firstly. Grounds for immigration permit are:
- investments in economy of Ukraine not less than 100 000 USD
- brother, sister, grandmother or grandfather, grandson or granddaughet citizens of Ukraine;
- previously be in citizenship of Ukraine;
- farther/mother, wife/husband, who have permanent residence permit in Ukraine;
- be minor child of person who has permanent residence permit in Ukraine;
- military service in Ukraine not less than 3 years;
- marriage with citizen on Ukraine not less than 2 years;
- citizenship on the territorial principle.

Basic documents for immigration permit:
- passport;
- temporary residence permit (if availiable);
- notarial translation of foreigner's passport;
- confirmation of residence in Ukraine and abroad;
- original document under grounds of applying documents for immigration permit (marriage certificate, birth certificate, certificate-confirmation from National bank of Ukraine about investment in economy of Ukraine and etc.).

Permanent residence permit:
After obtain immigration permit, foreigner can apply for permanent residence permit.

Basic documents for permanent residence permit:

receipt about paid government fees;
