Residence permit in Ukraine
Every foreigner who stay in Ukraine legally has right to obtain temporary or permanent residence permit. In order to get temporary or permanent residence permit foreigner must have grounds.
Temporary residence permit in Ukraine:
The most popular grounds for temporary residence permit in Ukraine are:
- own or co-own company in Ukraine;
- work in Ukraine (work permit);
- study in Ukraine;
- wife/husband or child (under 18 years old) of foreigner who has temporary residence permit in Ukraine;
- foreigner who is wife or husband of citizen of Ukraine.
If foreigner has one of the grounds mentioned before, foreigner can apply for temporary residence permit.
Basis documents:
- valid passport of foreigner with visa "D" (no need visa for: Georgia, Azerbaijan, Russian Federation, Belarus citizens and some others countries);
- insurance for all term of temporary residence permit;
- receipt for official fees;
- notary translation of passport;
- original documents the basis of apply documents for temporary residence permit (work permit, marriage certificate and others).
Immigration permit and permanent residence permit in Ukraine:
Immigration permit:
In order to get permanent residence permit, foreigner must to get immigration permit firstly. Grounds for immigration permit are:
- invest in economic of Ukraine more than 100 thousands dollars;
- be a brother, sister, grandmother or grandfather, grandson or granddaughter of citizen of Ukraine;
- be a citizen of Ukraine before;
- be a parents, wife or husband of person who has permanent residence permit of Ukraine;
- be a minor child of person who has permanent residence permit of Ukraine;
- be a person who have served in the army of Ukraine for three or more years;
- be a person who married with citizen of Ukraine more than 2 years;
- be a person who has right for citizen of Ukraine on the basis of territorial origin.
Basis documents for immigration permit:
- valid passport;
- temporary residence permit (if it has foreigner);
- notary translation of passport;
- original documents the basis of apply documents for immigration permit (marriage certificate, birth certificate, certificate issued by National bank of Ukraine about investment in economy of Ukraine and other documents).
Permanent residence permit:
After obtain immigration permit, foreigner can apply documents for permanent residence permit.
Basis documents:
- valid passport of foreigner with visa "D" (no need visa for: Georgia, Azerbaijan, Russian Federation, Belarus citizens and some others countries);
- temporary residence permit (if it has foreigner);
- receipt for official fees;
- notary translation of passport;
- immigration permit.
